This Friday, February 7, at 8 PM,Soundarte.net Studio will host a notable session featuring Sohl from León, México, and Cast Off Form from Omaha. Both artists are emerging figures in North America’s experimental music scene and important figures in the development of their respective state’s experimental music landscapes. They are also part of EACRECMX, a collective dedicated to experimental electronic music.
Sohl is an experimental sound artist and electronic music producer based in León, México. He has been instrumental in shaping the local experimental music scene and is the founder of the Experimental Electronic Music NetLabel EACRECMX.
Cast Off Form emerged from Omaha’s noise scene, blending organic and electronic elements, including electroacoustic improvisation. The project explores a creative mode of being, driven by curiosity and a desire to reorganize sounds into new forms. Cast Off Form has played a key role in fostering Omaha’s noise and experimental music scene through collaborations and initiatives like Noisefest and the No Coast Noise Collective.
This session offers an opportunity to experience the innovative approaches of these two artists. Their performances reflect their contributions to the experimental music landscape in North America.
