Kyle Jessen is a free improvising saxophonist based in Omaha, Nebraska. His work has been recognized for its unique blend of influences, including elements of Chicago-style improvisation and European techniques. Byron Coley has noted him in The Wire magazine for his distinctive sound and ability to blend edge-acridity with melodicism.

Jessen has released several solo albums, including “Primitive,” characterized by its raw and uncompromising style. His music often reflects intense emotions and technical skill, offering a mix of aggressive and introspective pieces. His notable works include “For Mikhail Kalashnikov” and “Make the Right Man Bleed”.
