Sucks Teeth Releases Debut EP in Experimental Music
Omaha-based musician Spencer Hudnall, known by his artist name Sucks Teeth, has released his debut EP, 3 Shades of Gray, stepping into the experimental music scene. Starting as a guitarist, Hudnall’s knowledge of pedals organically led him to synthesis, where he began exploring electronic sound design.
As a participant in the Soundarte.net creative program, Sucks Teeth attended workshops on granular synthesis and circuit bending, sharpening his already-developed skills in experimental sound techniques. Earlier this year, he performed at the Benson Creative District, showcasing his work to the local community.
3 Shades of Gray, released through the EACRECMX netlabel, features three tracks: “Change is good, you should try it,” “You shouldn’t,” and “Reduced, Destroy.” The EP combines Hudnall’s guitar background with electronic instrumentation, including the EGC TB1000S guitar, ASM Hydrasynth, Korg Volca Beats, and Moog Grandmother. The project is recorded and mixed in Omaha and reflects his transition into the Left-Field of electronic music.
With this debut EP, Sucks Teeth establishes himself as an emerging artist in the international experimental music scene via EAC Records MX, a netlabel established in 2015 in León, MX. 3 Shades of Gray is available now on the EACRECMX Bandcamp page.
